Bart Verbeeck, 23, is dying. He was sixteen years old when he first developed bone cancer. Four years later, the cancer was declared terminal. As the pain becomes overwhelming, Bart has decided to take medicine that will put him into a coma so that he can spend his last few days pain free. This poignant film follows Bart, his family and his doctors during his final days.
“Come and Fetch Me” is the poignant portrait of a young man who has lost the battle against cancer, but who wishes to convey the message that it is important to stay positive and to enjoy what you have.
